They eventually got LightCores in Trap Team.
Pop Thorn and Zook were originally going to receive LightCores in Dimensions but were replaced by Wind-Bat and Lily, respectively. Giants, Trap Team, Imaginators and Transhapers introduce one LightCore Skylander of each original element while Swap Force, Dimensions and SuperChargers and introduce two. During an epic battle, a brave group of Skylanders were caught in the volcano's eruption, which blasted them apart and sent them to Earth. Because of this, Spotlight and Blackout are the only core Skylanders without LightCore versions. No LightCore Skylanders were introduced in games after Transhapers.
